The post is only that caption. It names no song, release date or featured artist.
As of 1:10 PM WAT on 14 October, Wizkid had not announced a new Congolese collaboration on his official accounts.
Why fans are linking it to Fally Ipupa
Many replies pointed to “Jam,” Wizkid’s 2026 song with Congolese rumba star Fally Ipupa. Some fans asked if a second link-up is coming.
Jam was released as a single on 16 April 2026 under Elektra France and Warner Music France, according to its Apple Music and Spotify listings. It is track 5 on Fally Ipupa’s album XX, which marks two decades of his career, as The Guardian Nigeria reported.
Album credits list Jam’s producers as Tresor, Batundi and Rudolph Wilemse. The song blends rumba guitar with Afrobeats rhythm and is sung in Nigerian Pidgin, Lingala and French.
It is not their first record together. The two first worked together on “Yakuza” about a decade ago, Deeds Magazine noted.
Who else is on XX
The Guardian Nigeria lists Angélique Kidjo, Joé Dwèt Filé, DJ Maphorisa, Calema and KeBlack.
Jam was pushed as a standout track alongside the earlier single Cinéma. Jam led the album rollout alongside the earlier single “Cinema.”
The Grammy angle
UNVERIFIED: A report from Benin’s VIPZone said Fally Ipupa submitted Jam for Best African Music Performance at the 2027 Grammys. Neither artist nor the Recording Academy has confirmed the entry.
The Recording Academy says first-round voting for the 69th Grammys runs from 12 to 22 October 2026. Nominations will be announced on 16 November 2026.
Wizkid has been nominated in that category twice: “MMS” with Asake and “Gimme Dat” with Ayra Starr, according to his Grammy.com artist page.
What’s next for Wizkid
Wizkid headlines Live Out Loud Music Festival at Eagle Square, Abuja, on 13 December, according to the festival’s official site. He then opens Detty December Fest in Lagos on 18 December, Billboard reported in August.
Still pending: any official word on a new Congolese collaboration, a song title or a release date.
