Broda Shaggi has told his own story of the March 2026 shooting in a short film titled Second Chance (The Story), released on his YouTube channel “Official Broda Shaggi” on Wednesday, 21 October 2026. The skit maker says he was hit by a stray bullet in Ogun State and was afraid he would lose his ability to dance and perform.
He announced the film on Instagram with the words: “Some moments change your life forever!”
In the film, he describes being struck by a stray bullet as he left a brand activation in Ogun State, followed by surgery in Dubai. He says he is still recovering and promises to return with new projects.
The shooting happened on 9 March 2026 at Sango Ota Bridge in Ogun State, TVC News reported on Tuesday. Earlier accounts said he was filming a skit at the time; in his own telling it was after a brand activation.
The film follows his return to Instagram after the shooting on Tuesday, when he shared a clip of himself being rushed to hospital and called it “a day in my life I wished never happened.”
Fellow stars, including Tiwa Savage and Victor AD, have reacted under his post with support. As of 21:25 WAT on 21 October 2026, the Instagram announcement had about 79,000 likes.
