Comedian Ayo Makun, known as AY, has apologised to fans who bought tickets for the AY Live show in Cardiff on 25 October. In a statement posted on X this morning he said he and fellow comedians arrived at the venue but unresolved payment commitments from organisers delayed their appearance. By the time they entered the hall most of the audience had already left.
AY wrote that ticket holders should never have been caught in a payment dispute and called on the organisers and UK tour management to give a clear refund plan. He confirmed the remaining dates — Birmingham on 30 October, London on 31 October and Manchester on 1 November — are still going ahead. Attendees had posted videos and complaints overnight saying they waited from 4 pm until after 10 pm with only DJs and other acts on stage.
As of 10:00 WAT on 26 October no organiser has replied publicly and AY has not named the exact amount owed. He asked people to watch the full video explanation he attached before drawing conclusions.
