On Friday, 9 October 2026 at about 8:34pm WAT, @burnaboy dropped the caption “7 + 7 = 77” alongside three photos. One shows a bright blue Bugatti Chiron at night in what looks like Lagos, with a large yellow 7 on the horseshoe grille, French tricolour stripe, and crowds plus security around it. The other two are of him in a matching blue denim shirt, heavy chains, and a big belt buckle.
The post has cleared 2.6 million views and nearly 90k likes. Fans immediately read it as pure flex math: ordinary people get 14; ODG gets 77.
The car
This is the one-of-one Bugatti Chiron VXX he took delivery of in Lagos around 19–20 September 2026. Dubai-based Venuum built it for him — French Racing Blue front, yellow 7 on the grille, custom interior. Multiple outlets have reported a figure around ₦9 billion / roughly $6.8 million. That number comes from the dealer side and has not been independently confirmed by Burna Boy or Bugatti. He has not stated the purchase price himself.
The 7 is his branding. He has long used “Big 7” and “African Giant.” Earlier coverage noted he had talked about wanting a unique Bugatti with custom details. Replies under the post reference an older line where he said he would wake up in a Bugatti — and then did.
