Eniola Badmus has apologised to Laide Bakare on Instagram today, saying her reaction when Bakare’s name came up on Isbae U’s podcast could have looked dismissive. Punch Newspapers reported the statement on Tuesday afternoon. Badmus wrote that she chooses peace and wishes Bakare well, adding that maturity sometimes means letting go.
The feud flared again after a clip from the “Curiosity Made Me Ask” podcast showed Badmus hissing when Isbae U named Bakare as a favourite actress. Laide responded on Instagram on Monday, calling her an ingrate and saying she had helped her grow.
In a separate interview with Oyinmomo TV that NaijaNews and Kemi Filani carried today, Laide claimed she used to give Eniola money when nobody wanted to cast her because of her stature. She described Eniola at the time as “ugly and fat.”
