How the BBNaija Season 11 finale played out

The finale aired live on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family, with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu hosting. It closed a 70-day season that began on 26 July 2026 with 24 housemates.

Africa Magic reported that the final three, Aikou, Sheba and Temi Nkem, left the house and walked to the stage together. It described this as the first time in the show’s history that a Top 3, rather than the usual Top 2, made that walk.

Aikou was announced as first runner-up and Sheba as second runner-up. Ebuka then called Temi’s name as the winner.

Who is Temi Nkem?

Temi Nkem’s real name is Temitope Chigbue. Africa Magic describes her as a 21-year-old Accounting and Finance student who was born and raised in London.

Legit.ng reports that she is the fifth female winner in BBNaija history. Channels Television also gives her age as 21.

Africa Magic points out that she never had individual immunity during the season. She was not saved by the house and never won Most Influential Player of the Week (MIPOW), so she faced the public vote again and again.

That changed only near the end, when Barry used his Ultimate Veto Power to choose “Immunity For All”. That decision gave every remaining housemate a place in the finale.

What Temi Nkem won: the a #160 million prize explained

When the season launched, MultiChoice announced a #160 million package with ₦100 million in cash, a brand-new SUV and other rewards. That announcement is on the DStv Nigeria and GOtv launch pages from July 2026.

The cash part ended at #90 million. Africa Magic explained during the season that money deducted from the cash prize moved into the MIPOW Prize Pot, which stood at #10 million and is shared among the weekly MIPOW winners.

Temi took delivery of the SUV on Tuesday, 6 October, at a prize presentation in Ilupeju, Lagos, according to Premium Times and The Guardian. Premium Times identified the car as a Hyundai SUV, and The Guardian reported its value as ₦60 million.

The Guardian reported that she said she plans to invest a large part of the cash, finish her university education and support her parents. Those are The Guardian’s summary of her remarks, not a full transcript.

The road to the final nine

Season 11 started with 24 housemates. Most left by public vote, one walked out and two were disqualified, according to Punch, Vanguard and Africa Magic.

  • Martins and Mercedes were the first housemates evicted, on Sunday, 9 August (Channels Television).
  • Neche left the house voluntarily in Week 3 (Vanguard).
  • Nomy was disqualified for repeatedly defying Biggie’s instructions (Channels Television, 7 September).
  • Yusuf, Bells and Chimsom Chuka left in a triple eviction on 20 September (Punch).
  • Keivo was disqualified on Day 65 after a physical altercation with Tram (Africa Magic).

The biggest late twist came from Barry. After winning the Week 8 Head of House challenge and the Ultimate Veto Power, he saved Aikou from the eviction line, then chose “Immunity For All” for the final 10 (Punch).

Biggie also staged a fake eviction of Ricky, Tram and Temi Nkem before bringing all three back, Punch reported. Keivo’s disqualification then cut the finalists from 10 to nine.

Aikou’s own path ran through the season’s first twist. He and Flora were voted in as the Gambits, then released back into the prize race on 31 August (Vanguard).

Why some viewers are debating the result

Nigerian Tribune reported mixed reactions online. Some viewers questioned whether a UK-based housemate should win a show built around Nigeria, while others defended the result as the public’s choice.

The narrow margin also kept the argument going. None of the reports we reviewed cited evidence of voting irregularities.
