Olamide drops surprise single Burukutu as lead track from new album Time and Space
Olamide has released a new single titled Burukutu today, 20 October 2026. YBNL Nation Ent confirmed the drop on X and shared a streaming link, positioning it as the lead single from his forthcoming album Time and Space.
The album, described in multiple posts as his 13th studio project, is scheduled for 16 November 2026. Reports circulating with the announcement put the track count at 10 songs. The single arrived with visual content, and YBNL pointed fans to a YouTube upload alongside the universal streaming link at music.empi.re/burukutu.
This release comes just a day after Olamide’s O2 Arena London headline show was confirmed for 25 March 2027. Pulse Nigeria and TheCable Lifestyle noted the date earlier this week, describing it as the biggest London headline night of his career. It follows his sold-out OVO Arena Wembley show in November 2025.
The title Burukutu refers to a traditional Nigerian alcoholic drink brewed from sorghum or millet. Wikipedia and Nigerian outlets describe it as a communal beverage long associated with celebrations and gatherings in parts of the north and middle belt. Olamide has previously used street and cultural references in his titles, including the 2025 freestyle Idan Buruku.
