Nollywood actress Adunni Ade’s mother, Emily Faye Adewale, will be laid to rest on Thursday, 22 October 2026, at 12 noon. The service holds at Advantage Funeral Home, Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, Kentucky, in the United States.
Adunni Ade shared the funeral notice on her Instagram page on Wednesday, 21 October.

The poster carries a portrait of her mother with floral designs and the words “In Loving Memory, Emily Faye Adewale, Forever in our hearts.”
How the news broke
Mrs Adewale died on Sunday, 18 October 2026, after a long illness. Adunni Ade announced her passing the next day, Monday, 19 October.
“With a heavy heart and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, who returned to her Creator after a long battle with illness,” the actress wrote at the time.
She said her mother leaves behind children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones. In that first post, she promised funeral details “in due course.”
Who Adunni Ade is
Adunni Ade, born Adunni Adewale in Queens, New York, has a Yoruba father and a German-Irish mother. She is one of Nollywood’s busiest actresses in both English and Yoruba films.
She has spoken about her mother’s health before. In 2019, she shared photos of her mum receiving care and called her a strong woman.
